On the whole, I liked C1 well enough, but I didn't think it offered me enough incentive to work out a whole new workflow over. That alone is a useful productivity tool. I can't imagine that any reasonably competent software publisher would not review their current policies and programs in order to figure out how to maximize their future sales. The recent Adobe announcement has changed the market considerably. The action scripts can also be user created as well. But as far a I know, presets are user created, only. This latest version of ACDSee Photo Studio has quite a few Action scripts built into it, and many of them sound like the sort of thing Lightroom calls presets. I've never heard of any policy that ACDSee would discourage third party development, but then again, you'd be amazed at what ACDSee, the company, doesn't tell me! ACDSee's presets are proprietary as are their action scripts.
